Scope

This policy covers our business-to-business (B2B) communication with companies, mainly through WhatsApp, about our insect-screen products. Examples of such companies are wholesalers, importers, distributors and manufacturers.

What data we process

Business contact data:
- company name;
- business phone/WhatsApp number;
- country, city and website;
- business category.
Message data:
- messages, files and images you send us;
- our replies;
- delivery and read status provided by WhatsApp.
Your WhatsApp profile name, as shared by WhatsApp.

Where the data comes from

Publicly available business sources, such as Google Maps business listings, company websites, trade directories and trade/customs records.
Your own messages to us.

Why we process it

To introduce our products to businesses that may be interested in them.
To answer questions and send catalogues.
To prepare quotations and samples.
To keep a record of our business communication.

Legal bases:

our legitimate interest in B2B commercial communication (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f); KVKK Art. 5(2)(f));
taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b); KVKK Art. 5(2)(c)).

Automated assistant

Incoming messages may be answered or translated by an AI assistant (Claude, provided by Anthropic). We tell you this in our first reply.
The assistant does not make decisions about you. Prices, orders, payments and complaints are always handled by our staff.
You can ask to speak to a person at any time.

Who receives the data

We use the following service providers, acting on our instructions:

Meta Platforms (WhatsApp Business Platform), for sending and receiving messages;
Anthropic, for the AI assistant and translation;
our hosting and notification providers.

Some of these providers process data outside Türkiye and the EU, for example in the United States. Such transfers rely on the providers’ contractual safeguards. We do not sell your data.

How long we keep it

Contact and message records are kept for as long as there is a business relationship or ongoing communication.
After that we keep them for 2 years from our last contact, and then delete or anonymise them.
Invoices and order documents are kept separately by our accounting, as commercial and tax law requires.
If you opt out, we keep only your number on our "do not contact" list, so that we do not contact you again.

Opting out

You can stop all messages at any time by:

pressing the "Not interested" button;
replying "STOP";
writing to info@bykarplastik.com.

After an opt-out we will not contact that number again.

Your rights

You may ask us to:

give you access to your data;
correct or delete it;
restrict it;
object to its processing.

You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. In Türkiye this is the KVKK Board. To exercise these rights, write to info@bykarplastik.com.

Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page.
